ZimCos Security Ltd: security for commercial sites and projects
ZimCos Security Ltd is based in Watford and provides guarding, K9 units, patrols and electronic security for commercial premises, construction sites and energy infrastructure. We work from an agreed brief covering your location, operating hours, access arrangements and reporting needs.
Our local focus is Watford, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. For construction and energy projects elsewhere in the UK, we assess the location, programme and deployment requirements before confirming availability.
Choose cover around the work required
- Security guards and gate control for authorised access, visitor checks and agreed site duties.
- K9 dog-and-handler teams for suitable sites with defined patrol boundaries and welfare arrangements.
- BESS and energy site security planned around construction phases, restricted areas and contractor access.
- Construction site security for gates, compounds and out-of-hours requirements.
- Vacant property security and inspections with agreed checks, records and escalation contacts.
- CCTV towers and temporary cameras, with equipment, monitoring and response scoped separately.
Know what you are booking
Before deployment, agree the duties, staffed hours, patrol requirements, handover arrangements and nominated contacts. Request the relevant officer licensing and assignment-specific training evidence during procurement. Any certification or specialist capability should be confirmed for the proposed service.

Empowering Safety, Empowering Lives
Practical security starts with clear instructions
Tell us what must remain staffed, which areas can be patrolled and who authorises access. A gate officer, mobile patrol and dog-and-handler team perform different jobs; the proposal should make those responsibilities clear.
Agree how officers record visits and incidents, who receives reports and when concerns must be escalated. Review the brief when site layouts, working hours or contractors change.
A clear process from enquiry to deployment
Send the postcode, intended start date, contract duration and shift pattern. Include the number of gates or posts, principal duties and any existing cameras or alarms.
We use those details to discuss suitable cover and the requirements for mobilisation. Availability, scope and start dates are confirmed before booking. Request a proposal for your site.
